the pause project: support from perimenopause to post-menopause

If you are based in Oxford, the pause project is for you!

We welcome anyone who needs support navigating perimenopause, improving their wellbeing post-menopause, or wants to support a friend or family member...

Whether you’re battling brain fog, wondering why your joints hurt all of a sudden, are struggling with sleep, maybe concerned about mood swings and anxiety, or just want to find out what to expect when you hit the perimenopause, the pause project offers you a welcoming place to find out more.

Come and join us for a cuppa and a chat - leave feeling heard, supported, hopefully more informed, and maybe even with a new friend or two!

the pause project is an inclusive, warm, and positive space where we invite you to share your experiences of perimenopause to post-menopause and get peer support. The group is completely free to attend, and no need to book - drop in for an informal chat, get help with symptoms, support with how to approach your GP appointment, or just let off some steam and have a vent and a biscuit (or two)…

We are firmly evidence-based, and will never try to ‘sell’ you products or services. We are not, however, medically-trained professionals, we cannot offer you medical advice, but we can signpost you to a range of trusted sources of information and support.

If you have questions, or want to find out more before you travel to a session, please do drop me an email to emma@managingthemenopause.com - and please share this info with your work colleagues/to virtual noticeboards, or with family and friends to help us raise awareness of these new groups.

the pause project will run monthly at Rose Hill Community Centre and at a second Oxford City Centre venue (tbc) - please check below for latest dates/times and topics for sessions as many will include a deep dive focus on specific themes or symptoms.

UPCOMING SESSIONS:

OCTOBER 16th - 7.15-8.45 at Rose Hill Community Centre, Norman Brown 1 room

(no need to book, but if you have queries please email: emma@managingthemenopause.com)

Please check back for updates or sign up to our mailing list here.

(People who experience the menopause also include those assigned female at birth who may no longer identify as women. We hope to provide a space where all feel welcome to participate, no matter how they identify. You are also welcome if you are looking for help in supporting a friend or family member)

Supported by Well Together: The Well Together Programme is delivered in partnership by OCVA and CFO and funded by the NHS Integrated Care Board.
